How to be style with a cardigan this fall

Cardigans are one of those things that every woman has in her closet. They come in all shapes and sizes, colors, and prints, but all cardigans are not created equally. Some cardigans are better for certain body types, and others are better for certain outfits. It can get a little confusing sometimes, but wearing the right cardigan for your body type and for your outfit is important. So today let’s talk about it, lest you wear something that makes you look stumpy, wide, or just wrong.

1. Colorful cardigan mixed with short and Tshirt for early autumn

2. Coating a cardigan out of a simple dress

3. Cardigan with casual style for office girls

4. Sweet style when you mix a simple cardigan with flowers dress

5. Cardigan with a scarf for a windy day

Instead, DO wear  your skinniest pair of jeans or leggings. Keep those legs looking as slim as possible!

Essential Items Every College Girl Should Have In Her Closet

Since school started,  I wanted to talk about some essential staples every college girl should have in her closet. In creating this list, I wanted to pick things that wouldn’t be on your average college girl list. Like a “Little Black Dress”. Everyone knows that. So here are five essential (and specific) things that every college girl should own.

1. A Basic Tshirt

This may seem like a very specific item to start with but let me tell you, this is incredibly versatile.
I have many basic T-shirts in my wardrobe. As you can see, you can basically wear a Tshirt with anything. Plus, it’s totally comfy in any activities.

2. Skinny Jeans

Jeans + nice top + riding boots + accessories = also adorable
Pretty self-explanatory concept here - I absolutely LOVE the way skinny jeans look so classy in riding boots. This is my go-to look during the school year.

3. Favorite skirt

I already mentioned how awesome it is to have a favorite skirt earlier in this post. But a favorite skirt + cute top + shoes + accessories = adorable times three.

Or with a sweet combination like this
I hope you enjoyed this list! I’m sure every girl has something in her closet that she loves - what is yours? I would totally love to hear about it (and probably end up buying it!)

Sneakers For Fall: 3 Styles to Lighten Up Your Closet

Sneakers are having a big moment in fashion and with good reason. They can dress an outfit up or down, make a statement, have an attitude, and are both cool and comfortable. A couple of years ago designer Isabel Marant put sneakers on the forefront of covetable fashion with her wedge sneaker, and of course Converse can be found everywhere from the streets of Paris to the prom.  Collaborations between designers and big name athletic wear like Adidas and Nike mean you have a match made in fashion heaven. These designer kicks bring it up a notch with patterns straight from the designers’ latest collections, like Raf Simons for Adidas, and add a stylish edge.

Sneakers rule in autumntime, and this year they go way beyond athletic wear; they not only elevate your look, they can be paired with literally anything. Although I could assemble a seemingly endless list here of all the pairs I covet, here are three of my current favorites.

Casual closet with sneakers for this fall
I am a huge fan of Superga, “the people’s shoe of Italy”. This classic canvas sneaker is no flash in the pan; it’s been around since 1911 and the style remains true to its original design today. The brand has several genius collaborations of its own. Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen of The Row, as well as style icon Alexa Chung, have been creative directors of the brand.  A second collaboration with Man Repeller, aka Leandra Medine, recently introduced the 2750 style in five different satin colors that pretty much knock it out of the park. I have the black pair, which replaced my ballet flats this season, and are a chic addition to my summer wardrobe that will work great this fall as well. Superga has florals, high tops, a rainbow of colors and patterns to suit whatever your style is. The Nike Air Max Lunar 1 - Women's retails at Foot Locker store for $129.99. Converse is of course, a classic. From babies to Nirvana, these iconic shoes are an emblem of cool at its most laidback. The company’s most famous customer, a basketball player named Charles H. (Chuck) Taylor, become an ambassador of the shoe company for almost 48 years, and “Chuck Taylors” still reign supreme today. My current favorite take on Converse is the Maison Martin Margiela x Converse collection.  This collaboration consists of the Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell silhouettes dipped in a white paint treatment. Like an art piece you wear on your feet, these shoes will definitely be a conversation starter at your next outing. They launched in four different color ways on September, 2014 at Converse San Francisco, Santa Monica and Soho stores, Maison Martin Margiela stores, select Converse First String retailers, and Converse.com for a suggested retail price of $250.

My final favorite is a feminine pair that is just gorgeous, and beyond the ordinary. The Pedro Garcia Parson sneaker has an element of trendy cool with its metallic finish and the frayed edge satin body that gives it a girly appeal. This shoe company from Spain is a third generation run business of shoemakers whose pieces have a gorgeous aesthetic. This particular shoe is both sexy and sweet, making them versatile and as fabulous with a dress as with denim.  Pedro Garcia can be found at Shopbop and retail for $450.

Summer dressing is about being laid back and fun, while still keeping a fashionable edge. Whether they are high tops, wedges, lace up or slip on, sneakers are a modern approach to looking cool this autumn.

How to Dress Well on a Small Budget

If you feel that your dressing style is not fashionable enough and is hard to improve because of your small budget, you will change your mind and feel better after you read this article. Even among those who can afford to buy expensive clothes, some look fashionable and some don’t. Spend less and dress beautifully with these great tips. These three basic steps will help you to buy the right things at the right places and wear them in the right ways!

1. Have A Great Understanding of Fashion Styles

For a good style orientation, you should know two things: the fashion principles and how they can be applied to your figure.

Fashion basics and fashion trends:

Fashion basics are about current fashion styles, fabrics, colors, and so on. For example, you should know what the chic styles look like; what vintage style is; what different types of coats, dresses, boots, accessories, and etc. are available; as well as the features of different types of fabrics, how items are usually mixed together, etc. Keeping up with the latest trends is not as important as understanding the fashion principles but it helps you to stay up-to-date.

Your figure and styles flattering your body shape:

You should know the general types of body figures, and then figure out which type your figure is, and finally find styles that will flatter your body shape and also styles that you should avoid. For example, an apple-shaped body should wear v-necks and raglan sleeves, and avoid padded shoulders and double-breasted styles. Don’t follow trends that don’t suit your body shape!

You can get all of this information from fashion magazines, fashion web sites, or official web sites of fashion stores.

2. Build A Wardrobe With A Perfect  Plan

Mix and match before you shop:

First, imagine your ideal outfits, and then look at your closet and write down things you already have. After that, you have some ideas about the things to match in order to complete your wardrobe. For example, if your wardrobe contains some sundresses, in order to wear them in winter, you may need a denim jacket or a cardigan, leggings, and boots.

Buy must-haves:

For big and costly items like coats, dresses, and boots, you should choose simple and classic styles in basic colors made of long-lasting materials. They are not only easy to mix and match but also never go out of style. For example, jeans match well with everything, and colors such as black and brown are always fashionable. This is the time for you to apply your knowledge of fashion basics and your body shape. One of the best places you can find great classic clothing is Old Navy, and an Old Navy promo code will bring even greater savings.

For small items like accessories, you should practice your understanding of the latest trends. Buy the most impressive and trendy items. This is the easiest way to bring the inspiration of the new trends to your wardrobe. For example, add a touch of glamour to your wardrobe with a pair of leather gloves or a fur scarf.

Moreover, although buying high quality items costs you more at the beginning, they obviously look better and last longer, and you will save more money than buying many low-quality items that fall apart after a few washes.

This is totally different from buying inferior or cheap clothes; you need to find the lowest price for the best quality fashion. You can find many good deals on good quality clothes at stores like Target, Kohl's (Save more with Target coupon codes, and Kohls promo codes). Moreover, you should look for sales during the holidays and at the end of each season. It’s better to visit official sites and join store mailing lists for updated sales notifications.
